“ACTS Receives Recognition from the Buffalo Soldiers Motorcycle Club Springfield Chapter”

“ACTS Receives Recognition from the Buffalo Soldiers Motorcycle Club Springfield Chapter”

The Buffalo Soldiers were initially referred to as the ‘Colored Troops’ until 1866, when Congress enacted a law to increase and fix the Military Peace Establishment of the United States. They are an organization of men and women who enjoy riding ‘Iron Horses’ and giving back to the communities where we serve and reside. In the past, they have fed the homeless, provided backpacks and school supplies to underprivileged children, and cooked for families at the Ronald McDonald House.

Since then, the Soldiers have continued to serve the country with commitment and pride. The members of the Motorcycle Club carry on the legacy with the motto “We Can, We Will” and “Ready and Forward.” To show their appreciation for the individuals who tutor and mentor our young students and assist them in having a better understanding of the fundamentals of various subject matters, they recognized the A.C.T.S. Tutoring Program at their Annual Buffalo Soldiers Summer Event on Saturday, August 13,2022 at the King Phillips Stockade.
